The 37-year-old striker has played for a host of clubs across Europe during his long and illustrious career Malmo FF, Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and now LA Galaxy. He scored 22 goals in 27 appearances during the MLS season that just ended. His contract run through 2019.
A number of players who played in America in the twilight of their careers in the past went to Europe on loan in the off-season period in order to stay as sharp as possible. David Beckham went from LA Galaxy to AC Milan in 2009 and 2010, Landon Donovan from LA Galaxy to Everton in 2010 and 2012, Robbie Keane from LA Galaxy to Aston Villa in 2012, and Jermain Defoe from Toronto FC to Tottenham in 2014. Ibrahimović, however, has no intention of following in their footsteps. He stands firm he is an LA Galaxy player as he s contracted to them, and he wants to keep all his focus on his full-time employers.
